DESTROYING EVIL ALTARS

Family Altars: Blessing vs. Curses

Every family has an altar, whether godly or ungodly. An altar is a place of spiritual transaction—a gateway for spirits to enter and influence a family. Judges 6:25–26 shows God commanding Gideon to tear down his father’s Baal altar before building a new one for Him. Until the evil altar was destroyed, Israel could not walk in victory.

Evil family altars manifest as patterns of idolatry, witchcraft, or generational sins. They may have been established by ancestors dedicating the family line to false gods. But godly altars are built through prayer, worship, fasting, and the Word of God.

Steps to Raise a Godly Altar:

  • Repent and renounce evil altars in your bloodline.
  • Dedicate your home to God through anointing oil and prayer.
  • Establish daily worship and prayer times with your family.
  • Teach your children to call on God’s name early.

Prayer:

Lord, I tear down every evil altar in my family line. I dedicate my home as a godly altar where Your Spirit reigns.
