On one of our first mission trips to Ecuador, we traveled through the Andes mountains, serving in cities like Quito and Cuenca. We went to pour out — to love, to teach, to serve. But in that season, I received something too. While there, local families introduced us to herbal blends they had used for generations. They spoke about them not as quick fixes, but as part of a slower, more intentional way of living. Their culture valued balance, rhythm, and stewardship of the body. At the time, I was carrying stress in my body. Years of leadership, grief, and responsibility had taken a toll. During our 31-day stay, I began adopting some of those slower, more disciplined habits — including drinking the herbal teas daily. Something shifted. Not overnight. Not magically. But steadily. Over time, I released over 60 pounds. My energy improved. My mind felt clearer. But more than anything, I realized something deeper: Transformation is connected to discipline. Ecuador reminded me that God often teaches us through culture, humility, and simplicity. That season wasn’t about a product. It was about alignment — physically and spiritually. What I experienced there strengthened what I now teach globally: When you apply structure consistently, change follows.
